The Anza-Borrego desert in November...it doesn't get much better.  A November jaunt to a southern California desert community is something you have to experience to fully appreciate. Basking in the warm and mild sunshine, while gentle breezes make the palm trees sing their songs is reason enough to go. But that trip is always made better when getting to that desert involves 2 (small) wheels!  Our overnighter to Stanlunds in Borrego Hot Springs California included one of the best rides around, a clean and uncrowded motel, Borrego's off-beat roadside art, and the company of another good friend, and scooterist Steve.

Nestled at the base of a glorious mountain range, Borrego Hot Springs is near the famous Salton Sea, and an hour or so from Palm Springs.  Borrego Hot Springs comes alive in winter with tourists and snowbirds, but it's famous roadside

art sculptures stand year-round for everyone's enjoyment.
