Day trip to Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead and Fawnskin, CA.  Sometimes a nice day trip to a different climate zone a few hours scoot away is just what the doctor ordered. We rode up to these lake communities in the San Bernardino National Forest and enjoyed a summer day in the mountains.
A refreshing and pine-scented changeup from our "normal" journeys into the belly of hell...the deserts we seem to frequent.

Nestled above San Bernardino and Redlands Ca., Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead and this small collection of mountain enclaves are a recreational, and scenic draw to many in all 4 seasons...and YES they get 4 seasons here. A rarity to be sure in Southern California.
