Late summer Eastern Sierras "scootexploring" We are finding ourselves drawn more and more frequently to the scenic majesty and great scooter riding afforded by the Sierras in California.  From the fantastic grandeur of Mt. Whitney (the continental US' highest point) to Badwater (the continental US' lowest point) located nearby in Death Valley, the Sierras are a beautiful, and living testament to the geologic forces that formed, and continually change this fantastic region.

In the middle of the high desert, as a reward for our travel to this remote and antique outpost, we stayed at this little oasis in the volcanic foothills of Benton Hot Springs, Ca. This eclectic B&B is lush, well maintained and run by friendly folks and offers several volcanically heated mineral tubs to relax in after a day on the "dusty trail".

One of the most memorable overnight stops we've ever made, it was relaxing, awe-inspiring and wonderful.  Something to remember always, and made better for having reached it by scooter!
